digitrax sent an email to use the existing decoder and add their decoder#sfx0416. I assume it solders to the same points as bachmann decoder I'm new at trying this. I saw in an earlier thread Skipgear used digitrax decoder but didn't mention what #s of decoder . .any info would help!

Forget Digitrax and go with ESU LokSound Select or Soundtraxx Heavy Steam Decoder TSU-750. Add a 10mm speaker and you're good to go!
