I own 2 Williams engines and would like to power them with a postwar Lionel ZW transformer. How  do I activate bell and whistle? Would Lionel sound activation button, part number 610-5906-001 work?
                  Thanks,

Hi There.
While I don't own a Lionel Sound Activation Button, you would have to do Trial / Error, to see if that would work.
The other option, would be to connect a Double Pole - Double Throw toggle switch, which would change the polarity, and therefore change which sounds the engine makes.
Hope this helps.

The Lionel sound activation button should work. If it don't work wired in the correct way for the bell sound wire it in reverse, but always have it wired to the positive terminal of the transformer.
