How does thr power pack in the Thomas sete compare to the one in  ho sets? Also could a decoder be installed in thr Thomas locomotives?

The power packs are the same if you are using dc, but I you are talking about dcc the controllers are different and the thomas engines are dc you don't need a decoder to run them, you only need a decoder if you are wanting them to be dcc.

Is the Tomas pack mdcc compatable, and could be used with e-z command to run dc locomotives?

It can run both dc and dcc but if u try to run dcc you can't do the specific sounds.
