Is this set suitable for the outdoors?

Hi bj,

Yes, your Royal Blue locomotive and cars can be run outdoors, but the track that comes with the set is not suitable for outdoor use.  The steel alloy track will rust and cause problems very quickly.

I would suggest starting with a circle of Bachmann brass track which is designed for outdoor use.  If running outdoors be sure to use a ground fault outlet, and protect your power supply from moisture.
