Title: lighting kit for HO. is this for use with "plasticville"?
Post by: biker1 on September 28, 2009, 07:42:17 PM
I found a lighting kit in the HO accessories (product code: 42240) and am not sure what it is for.  I'm thinking that it is for illuminating plasticville buildings.  I am  trying to illuminate N scale buildings and would like to know if this lighting kit will fit N scale as well a HO scale buildings.

Dear Biker,
It's a light bulb with a socket that will snap into some buildings that have a hole in the center of the base for that purpose. It will light other buildings as well, but you'll have to make a mount.
Have fun!

I believe it is Model Power that offers light bulbs,  mounted into a mount with double faced tape on the bottom that makes for excellent interior lighting.   The bulbs are the "oval" shape style not more than 1/4 inch long.   You can buy the lights in a four pack or a ten pack,  I believe.
