Title: Turnouts
Post by: zr600cce on December 31, 2009, 08:42:52 PM
Hi. I recently purchased four bachmann remote turnouts to use on my ho gauge layout. I want to use these for deadhead sidings. I want to be able to operate a train on the loop, while having another train on the same loop sitting on the siding.  The turnouts I puchased are two no. 44561 and two no.44562. Can this be done with these turnouts or do I need to wire the sidings seperate from the loop?

Hi, you can use the turnouts, but you must isolate the siding track at both ends with insulated joiners and also wire in a switch to control the siding track power
