Title: Rix Products
Post by: Dennis on February 08, 2007, 12:21:48 PM
Has anyone used a Rix rail-it, and does it work well? Also a Rix magnetic uncoupler tool. I need something of this nature and hate to buy without asking questions.
Thanks
Dennis

The Rix rail-it, They work very well if you h ave a lot of cars to put on the layout or you can't see good.  As far as the Rix magnetic uncoupler tool work on plactic cars.  Cars with steel in them, if you are not careful you can derail the cars.  There are ther tool that I like better.

rail it works awsome, and there uncoupler tool is alot more handy that the kadee uncoupler , my opinon, thats what i think.

The rix uncoupler has a magnet on each side, you lower it down between to freight cars or loco you want uncoupled then you, or another person simply pull the train forward.

the kadee magnet system takes to much eyeing and guessing, unles you makr it, put a figure by it or something. good luck

I'll add my thumbs up to the Rail-It. Works great and saves time!
