Title: Spacing of parallel roads
Post by: pajoma on July 07, 2007, 08:30:45 AM
What is the recommendation for spacing of parallel tracks with Bachman ON30 passenger cars being used, how about 3.25 inches spacing of centres (80mm)?

How much extra spacing of centres curves of 22 inch radius?

Thanks dudes .... bring on that 28 ton Heisler.

Pajoma:

I use 3" spacing in yards and 3 1/2" or more on curves.  Works well with my 0n30 passenger (and other) cars.

Take a look at the NMRA website under standards and recommended practices. Use the spacing they suggest for ON3.
