Title: N scale Sound decoder in Bachmann N Scale 2-6-6-2 w/ Vandy tender
Post by: gatrhumpy on August 06, 2013, 08:17:12 AM
Has anyone ever put in a sound decoder in an N scale Bachmann 2-6-6-2 with Vandy tender? I was looking at the Tsunami, however, the Loksound Select Micro is $40 cheaper, doesn't need the thermal management like the tsunami, and is smaller in space (where space is limited in the Vandy tender). Has anyone ever installed a LokSound Select Micro in an N scale 2-6-6-2 with Vandy tender?

I have never tried. I'm replying so you know this is being read, I would think very few have tried.

I'm trying this weekend with an ESU LokSound Select Micro Steam Decoder.

Let us know how you do. I would think the hard part would be mounting the speaker and getting the sound out.
