Can these two tracks be used together? If so any modifications needed? Is the lionel track any good and can it be used outdoors? the brass track with brown ties? Thanks for any info
Not sure I'd use the Lionel outdoors with any sort of track-fed power.
A), it's hollow.
While that isn't a big issue, the pins are brass-plated steel, and will rust VERY badly.
There are "adaptor" joiners I have used in the past for Lionel to some German track, should work with AC.
Difficult to clamp Lionel, as the track is hollow and the base isn't set up for clamps.
I still have some Lionel in use, but on non-powered yard tracks in the shed.
