Title: 4-8-8-2 ho scale

Gene thanks so much for your help.  Planning L shaped  layout table now 4x8 with a 4x4 extension.  It will have 2 track levels and second level with a 2 percent grade.  Thanks again Larry B ;D

You're welcome, Larry.  Note that the BLI Cab Forwards are AC4/AC5s in HO scale.  They are offering an AC12 in G scale.  I didn't bother to look at the MSRP!  Rivorossi offered a Cab Forward, but which one it is, I have no idea. 
BTW, I think that the BLI Cab Forwards have smoke generators.  I'd advise you not to use it, especially since you have a 2% grade.

The  Rivarossi Cab-forward is an AC-12. The latest run has vastly improved drive and workmanship over the ones made 30+ years ago. Drivers are smallish but they pull well. especially with extra weight added.
