Are there patents on any railing systems on Williams's trains. I'm looking at a possible replacement for the stations on the old SD-45. Saw the way to rebuild with bobbypins in Classic Model Trains mag. If I find a way to get them made is there a problem with Bachmann. Don't won't to be out of line.
You can modify all you want if you're talking about doing it to your own loco, and not setting up a business.

If you are talking about the Crown Edition by Williams back in the 1990's they used QSI electronics. You can take the sound system out if that's what you want to do but I don't recommend it.
