This is a beautiful train set but the engine is dc can the shell be taken off and placed on the new baldwin 2-6-0 dcc and sound loco's now coming out so I can run this on my DCC layout.
Thank you for checking into this for me

I do not have one of the new DCC 2-6-0 but I can tell you it will be more work that "taking the shell off and putting it on"

Now, most likely you can do it but it will take some work.  Bachmann locos have a lot of detail parts applied separately which would have to be removed and put back on.  The cab and the boiler are separate pieces which need to be removed and attached individually.

But I am now thinking that the DCC part may be in the new tender, not in the loco.  So that would require removing the tender shell & details, a much simpler project.
Of course you could just add a DCC decoder to the current tender and be finished.
