Title: Consist operation
Post by: Philrd on February 10, 2017, 06:45:10 PM
I madea three engine consist of three Bachmann alco f7's DCC w/sound.  The consist will run fine, butthe lights, bell and horn will not operate.  Is this SOP for Bachman engines?

The lights, bell and horn operate depending on how they are configured to operate in the consist.
CV 21, Consist Function Control 1
CV 22, Consist Function Control 2

What DCC system was used to create the consist?
What was done to create the consist?
What is order and direction of travel of each locomotive in the consist?

Thanks for the response.

I run on an MRC Prodigy Wireless DCC system.  I set the consist up with the cab cosist tab. An A B running forward and an A running in reverse.  Another consist with two EMD F7s does the same. If I run them with the same engine number both headlights turn on, but they have to both run forwards. In a consist with on running in reverse the headlights do not turn on and off.

I shall try  the CV changes you suggested to see what happens.
