Is it still possible to get replacement gears?
I'm just getting back into the hobby again and I have some engines (rail
Trucks) including 1 I just bought last weekend that just sit and spin....

is bachmann still providing them as free replacements? I literally bought the one of the railtrucks last sunday. I didn't realize bad units were still out there and thought anything still in dealer inventory would be problem free.
I called the service department a few months ago asking about the free replacements and the guy I talked to didn't know anything about them.
He may have been new, or they possibly ran out of the free kits. I bought the replacements anyway.
I got 12 railbus chassis with split gear the other day.
So i sent a mail to Mr.B.
The reply was; "that was four years ago. sorry.
You can buy them for $15 plus shipping.

Thanks. I'll have to tear them down and find out what each one actually needs.
I guess I picked the wrong four years to take some time off from trains.
I should probably send them the one I bought new last week.....
