Neat video. As I watched, I wondered how many smashed fingers and toes there were along the way.

Very interesting!

(Gotta LOVE that seam-shovel at the beginning......)

I was pretty amazed at how the rig carrying the sections of rail, being pushed by the locomotive, was running on rails that were just sitting there....without even a plate or a spike to stop them from tipping over, and causing a derailment....

I wondered about that too, John. I had to rewatch that a couple of times to make sure I wasn't missing the spiking somewhere when the rail was first laid.
