Where does the sound module go?
I want to model the converted switcher in the picture below, and having DCC built-in would be an advantage. (Assuming nothing important is in the smokebox since I have to clear that for a scale V8 engine.)
My first thought is that the sound module and its speaker go in the tender, but I'm hoping that's not the case since the prototype doesn't have one.

In the tender.
That's kind of neat. I wonder how that performed. That's a lot of weight for a V-8 to handle. Maybe some exhaust pipes sticking out the side.

In the tender.
Disappointing, but not illogical.
What about the smokebox? Is there still a circuit board in there for the headlight like the analog 2-6-0s had?

I wish I knew, it's hard enough to find pictures. (There's a picture of the other side out there, but I don't remember the keywords to find it)
If I'd done the conversion, I'd route the exhaust up the chimney. With an afterburner. >:D
Afterburners are for turbine engines, not internal combustion V8's. ;)

But they CAN be added to IC engines. :P
Yes....as a pollution control device.....not as a power adder.
