Title: Spare chip in "Cornish Riviera Express" N gauge set
Post by: Oakley on July 28, 2017, 10:43:55 AM
Does anyone know what the spare is for? It has "CON1" printed on it, and looks the same size as the PCB decoder, but has no chip on it, only a printed track between pin 1 and pin 6, and a second uniting pins 2,4 and 5. Will this allow my engine to run on a DC track if I wish?

It also has:

F7247
PCB02
REV:A
09/10/07

Written on both sides.

Thanks in advance.

That reads like a bypass pcb if you don't want to use the dcc decoder.
The most decoders can handle dc and dcc nowadays.
