Post by: Rocky1953 on July 28, 2017, 06:27:33 PM
I have a dog bone track set up. when i insert a new bachman turnout, it wont run. If i disconnect one end of the turn out it will run. What to do?

These 'dogbones', could they also be called a 'reverse loop'?  (As in a section of track that allows the train to return to the mainline in the other direction?)

My layout is like that, but with 2-rail systems you need to electrically isolate the loop to prevent the mainline from shorting out.

I found that the easiest way to automate the process is to have a DCC layout with a 'reverse loop module' on each end.  Bachmann makes the modules and gapped sections of E-Z Track with terminal connectors in HO scale.
