Title: DCC sound speed on an analog controller
Post by: chillzatl on December 08, 2017, 10:40:31 AM
Hi All,

I have a DCC locomotive on an analog controller. My old controller broke and I happened to have a Railpower 1300 to replace it with. The engine works perfectly performance wise, but now the sound is out of sync with the speed. Running the locomotive at 20% sounds like did at full blast on the old one. Full speed on the new one is just a blur of noise now. Can anyone tell me how, if at all, I can adjust this? Thanks!

Two options come to my mind.

1:  Look for an identical controller to the one that died.  (Assuming its death didn't cause the problem)

2:  Borrow a DCC system and adjust the chuff rate of your locomotive.
