Title: What’s the difference between deluxe and non-deluxe Thomas trains?
Post by: kj1231 on December 09, 2017, 05:37:21 PM
Found some Thomas pieces that aren't "deluxe" and wondering what the difference is before delicxe and non-deluxe pieces. Is it more than packaging?

The 'Deluxe' set includes: Thomas, Annie, Clarabel, Bertie, Harold, and Sir Topham Hatt.
The basic set is just: includes: Thomas, Annie, and Clarabel.

Thanks for the reply. I had bought the deluxe set and was looking to add other cars, etc. I came across some that don't have the "deluxe" on the packaging and wondering if there is any difference between the deluxe and non-deluxe pieces - e.g. Sodor Fuel, Tidmouth Milk, etc.

Not that I've seen. "Deluxe" generally just means something extra is included.

It's just that the older light blue Bachmann packaging that was used prior to 2007 did not incorporate the word "deluxe". The products themselves are exactly the same. I hope that this answers your question :).
