Have any of you had good success in making your own clump foliage? If so, will you share your methods?

I have used commercial lichen, polyester "fuzz", and the Woodland Scenic products.  The WS products are the easiest, give the best results IMHO, and are the most expensive.

Where I have to cover lots of area that isn't in the front of the layout, I use lichen, sprayed with thinned white glue and sprinkled with WS ground foam of various colors.

Yep, Woodland products are incredible, but also incredibly expensive.

Scenic really not any less expensive...I have made some myself. Just got to work on the consistency that I am looking for.

Take a look at JTT Scenery by MRC They have a lot of things Scenic Express and Woodland Scenics don't have:
