Title: 5 amp Boosters
Post by: roundhouse foreman on December 30, 2017, 01:42:41 PM
Will the E-Z Command 5 a booster work on a DYNAMIS PRO system?
Is a BOOSTER a BOOSTER?

Dynamis plus Dynamis Pro Box = Dynamis Pro system

Yes, when connect Dynamis  > Dynamis  Pro Box  >  E-Z Command 5 Amp Power Booster > track

No, when Dynamis Pro system  -  connect Dynamis to one power district and connect Dynamis Pro Box to power booster to another power district.

DCC power booster and DCC programming track booster are not interchangeable.

Verify with the DCC power booster manufacturer it is compatible with the DCC command station.

Thanks HUNT, just what I needed to know and the hookup diag's are a bonus.

So got booster.
Good thing Hunt gave diag because Bachmann does not.
I have the Dynamis IR Pro system. What's the hookup for that.
There is no program track connection available with the EZ Command Booster.
Do I still use the same output source from the Dymanis for programming and also to the booster?
You tube for this shows runaway situations.

Cobbled a couple cables and plugged them in flipped the switch to 18 v because I have a Spectrum 10 passenger car consist and std lighting so big draw.
All loops hi ballin' with a mix of old and new steamers. My older BLI is sensative to signal and when it restarts the current draw is now obvious as the booster kicks in. Seeing that points me to the source of the problem I had of tripping off randomly.
