Are the newer Bachmann steam locos able to be configured to operate on a DC layout? Are they equipped with "dummy plugs" to replace the board?
All of Bachmann's DCC-equipped locos will run more or less the same on analog or DCC. They're all a bit different as far as the decoder installation goes, but for the most part they aren't designed such that the decoder can be removed and replaced with a dummy plug.
