I enjoy watching your videos and appreciate the time people take to make them. However, I would like to make one comment: The up-close, eye-level shots really don't show us much that we can't see by looking at our own trains up close. (I assume you are trying to make the trains look real?)
I'd rather see overall shots of your railroads so that I can see trackplan, scenery, and structures.

Do you mean like this one (link below)? I tried to intersperse establishing (far) shots with medium shots and closeups. I don't know if it worked to show the track plan, which is a simple out and back with a spring switch at the return loop, or if it just created confusion. Opinions would be appreciated.

Bruce and James, that particular train is mine and I did help design and build the layout, but I don't own either the layout or the property. That honour goes to my good friend Wolf. It is a great place for a layout - gentle rolling hills and small plant life that is pretty well in scale with the trains. I am not sure how long the track is, but am presently working on an "Odometer Car" to measure it and other layouts. The locomotive in the video usually runs on DCC but in this particular case I was running it on radio control/battery using a Train Engineer receiver and an 18 volt drill battery in the reefer just behind the locomotive.
