Harold, it's hard enough to figure out how to do this sort of thing.  To photograph the whole process and then publish it to the web is a real effort, and we really appreciate it.

I've been told there are no dumb questions, but I imagine this could be a first....as a newbie, I am still in the learning process concerning DCC and sound addon.  My Bachmann engine does not have DCC installed, so my question is...should I have that installed before adding the Soundtraxx Tsunami in the tender?

The Soundtraxx Tsunami is a DCC decoder. It has DC analog capabilities but that would sorta be like using a Ferrari to run down to the convenience store.
