Unless the two step decoder reset procedure is used the Sound Value decoder many not completely reset.

Some more ...

First reset decoder to clear what you have done
Resetting the sound decoder CVs to their factory default value is a two-step procedure.

   1)  Program CV 8 to 8 (can use either Service Mode or Operations Mode programming)
   2)  Cycle power to the decoder by turning power to the track off and back on

After about six-seconds upon restoring power the headlight and backup light will blink simultaneously 16 times indicating that the CVs were successfully reset. However, if sound or lights come on immediately upon restoring power, the decoder did not successfully reset. Repeat the two-step procedure.

For Directional lighting
CV 33 = 1
CV 34 = 2
CV 49 = 129
CV 50 = 129

NCE Power Cab - How to delete a loco from the recall button
There is no delete function per se, but a simple way is to bring up the loco number you want to “remove” then hit select loco, press 000, press enter.

This overwrites the loco with zeros, making a fresh empty slot

What is being used to program?

A 1000 Ohm, ¼ Watt resistor laid across the programming track is required for programming  a factory installed non-sound Bachmann (Lenz based) decoder used with a Digitrax Zephyr (DCS50) or Zephyr Xtra (DCS51).

Remove resistor after programming.

7  Discussion Boards / On30 / Re: Help adding sound to On30 4-4-0 modern loco on: January 30, 2018, 01:50:16 AM

If DCC - I would remove the basic decoder now in the locomotive tender and hardwire a SoundTraxx Tsumani2 sound decoder and compatible speaker. You should consider this option only after you have and know how to use a DCC system capable of taking advantage of the features and functions of the sound decoder.

If  iPhone, Bluetooth, O gauge and On30 -- While you are just looking at what is available, spend time reading the articles and the information in other links in the in the BlueRail Trains website.

The one you show in the link is for a sound ready decoder.

Perhaps the DCC Sound Board label misled you into believing AE32019 a sound module.

If Bachmann documentation is correct, the linked to AE32019 is a SoundTraxx OEM Bachmann sound decoder,  the same sound decoder factory installed in the Spectrum  HO Baldwin Modern 4-4-0, Sound On Board.

I would not use the AE32019 in the On30 but that is just me.  Wink

Recommend adding sound decoder only after you acquire a DCC system, which fits your needs.

An aside ---

This was called to my attention. However, since RHF post is addressed to Bach Man,  I left his query for "the Bach-man" or someone with Bachmann to answer.

Second aside ---

All the Bachmann Dynamis systems feature a database referred to in Dynamis User Guide as a roster

13  Discussion Boards / HO / Re: Isolating a#6 crossover, how is this done on: January 16, 2018, 04:34:19 PM

You may want to wait to use the #6 Crossover in a layout powered with DCC as intended by Bachmann.

Caution – Most of the instructions, which can be found,  to modify the Bachmann #6 remote crossover turnout 447575 and 44576 for use in a DC power layout are not accurate,  Do not use any instructions that have you cutting any wires.

Len has covered what is required. However, it is easy for most to botch the modifications without illustrated instructions. Even with good illustrated instructions, many botch the required modifications.

Will the E-Z Command 5 a booster work on a DYNAMIS PRO system?

Dynamis plus Dynamis Pro Box = Dynamis Pro system

Yes, when connect Dynamis  > Dynamis  Pro Box  >  E-Z Command 5 Amp Power Booster > track

No, when Dynamis Pro system  -  connect Dynamis to one power district and connect Dynamis Pro Box to power booster to another power district.

DCC power booster and DCC programming track booster are not interchangeable.

Verify with the DCC power booster manufacturer it is compatible with the DCC command station.

15  Discussion Boards / HO / Re: What decoder is used in the Bachmnn SP Daylight #4449 RAILFAN - GS4 4-8-4? on: December 29, 2017, 10:50:58 PM
The Sound Value decoder installed in the GS4 4-8-4 is a SoundTraxx Sound Value three function output decoder. However, just two of the three function outputs are used in the model.

While the Sound Value decoders do have some similar CVs to those found in a SoundTraxx Tsunami, the Sound Value decoders are not Tsunami decoders, stripped down or otherwise.  The Sound Value decoders are in a different family of decoders than Tsunami decoder.
