Check the wheelsets to be sure insulated side of wheels are positioned correctly in both trucks.  Compare to a car that lights.

Remove the roof to replace light - lift roof above one door. There are five tabs on each side that will release with force as you lift roof from either door end.

If two rail track  - connect one track rail lead to the transformer terminal labeled DC and the other track rail lead  to the unmarked terminal  next  to the transformer terminal labeled DC.

The Bachmann hobby transformer no. 6607 is best used with HO scale. Because of its age, suggest having the transformer tested to determine it is working properly and still safe to use.  Any place that repairs electronics can test it.

Remove motor from locomotive and test motor to confirm it is a seized motor.  If it is motor issue, flush the motor as best you can with CRC QD Electronic Cleaner or like product.  Once cleaner evaporated, power the motor to see if it will turn before reinstalling in locomotive.  If motor turns,  apply a very small amount of motor bearing lube.

Remove locomotive shell. Locate, pull off and reseat one at a time the black plastic clip holding in place each of the two wires connecting the motor to the circuit board. Be sure the bare end of the wire is in good contact with the solder pad on the circuit board before and when replacing the clip.

Test run before replacing the shell.

27  Discussion Boards / HO / Re: Auto reversing trolley on: November 15, 2017, 04:09:08 PM
You can substitute any length regular E-Z Track section for the "B-B" track sections and bumpers or not use them as they are not part of the auto-reversing circuit.  Add auto-reversing track sections to  increase the length of the auto-reversing run.
28  Discussion Boards / General Discussion / Re: Useing a power pack with nE-Z Comand on: November 14, 2017, 12:08:09 AM
The connection of Bachmann DC power pack just gives you a separate unit, not an additional one, to control a DC locomotive. When a Bachmann DC power pack is properly connected to the E-Z Command Control Center address 10 automatically converts  from its original DC (analog) assignment to DCC (digital) address.

The DC locomotive is still being powered by a modified AC waveform from the DCC E-Z Command Control Center not DC voltage from the DC power pack.

29  Discussion Boards / On30 / Re: Heisler LIghts on: November 13, 2017, 06:45:59 PM
I do not have convenient access to a Bachmann Specrtrum On30 Heisler with Sound Module installed to test the following but if you want directional lights and dynamo sound then ---

Assuming All CVs are equal their factory default value except for address
Program
CV 33 = 17
CV 34 = 18
CV 133 = 32

Note   -  Function Swapping is  activated as CV 30 = 4 is factory default. Thus F5 is mapped with CV 43 and it remains CV 43 = 1, which is default value.
30  Discussion Boards / General Discussion / Re: E-Z Track Over-Under Figure 8 Track Pack - HO Scale on: November 12, 2017, 05:16:47 PM
Somewhat of an aside --

Terry Toenges,

When using Bachmann E-Z Track, the geometry of the track used to build a track plan does not need to be exact to have a useable track plan.

Example - The pieces needed in http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/board/index.php/topic,34084.msg251455.html#msg251455 track plan for exact fit to me are a waste of money.
