E-Z Track turnouts are listed in the ONLINE/Web Store store. All Bachmann numbered turnouts (#4, #5 ,#6) have metal frog, which can be seen by clicking on Product Image then click on larger image.

None of the numbered turnouts match the geometry of a Remote Turnout (plastic frog).

Hopefully you applied a little silicon silicone dielectric grease. Not just any type grease should be used.

. . .  a little meaning small amount of silicone dielectric grease. Not just any type of grease should be used.

37  Discussion Boards / HO / Re: What type of couplers do I use for Grade? on: October 06, 2017, 07:47:04 PM
It is not the brand or type of coupler

The usual suspects.
  • Couplers are not set to correct height.
  • The transition from flat to grade and vice versa is too sharp causing the couplers to lift out.

4 3/5" radius curve --- No

Not reliable run on 9 3/4" radius curve.

No factory sound.  Sound is an add on  As noted a speaker with wires is factory installed - 3" round  8 ohm  1 watt
Replaced the speaker if it is not compatible with the sound systemís amplifier you add.

No ash pan glow. Study wiring diagram click Here

Do not unplug by pulling on wires. Grip the connector

Q1: What scale would my train be with tracks with an inside Deminsion of 45mms?

Depends.  Models  1:32, 1:22.5  and 1:20.3 are scale proportion (model to prototype ) commonly found gauged to run on track that  measures 45 mm between the railheads.
Bachmann makes large scale train in both 1:20.3 and 1: 22.5 gauged to run on 45 mm track.

44  Discussion Boards / On30 / Re: C&S #22 DC Loco on EX Command Button #10 on: October 04, 2017, 12:08:01 AM
. . .
I think I will find a DC pack to piggyback onto the EZ Command per the instructions before running the Mogul much.

No help,  damage issue remains!

The DC power pack just gives you a separate unit to control the DC locomotive and opens up address 10 as a digital address.   The DC locomotive is still being powered by a modified AC waveform from the DCC E-Z Command Control Center not the DC voltage from the DC power pack.

45  Discussion Boards / On30 / Re: C&S #22 DC Loco on EX Command Button #10 on: October 03, 2017, 08:39:26 PM

What you are hearing is the motor vibration resulting from using a modified AC waveform to run a motor designed to be run using DC. It does shorten the time before failure of the motor.
