1  Discussion Boards / General Discussion / Modelling a wooden shed with that beautiful silver gray aged look on: September 29, 2017, 02:45:32 PM
Hi!  Smiley
This week Ive been modelling a wooden shed with that beautiful silver gray aged look outside keeping the inside as naturally aged wood. Works just perfect with the beautiful trains from Bachmann. Link to a detailed guide DIY I published on Youtube: https://youtu.be/VCXWRFLVxe0

Heres a photo taken more than one year after the water was ready. The color is still perfect. No visible ageing effects, like yellowish, or brown tones..

Hi!
This week Ive been making a tool for massproduction of planks. Very useful when modelling a sawmill, or need planks as load on cars etc. I also die (color-dip) the planks to get either a fresh/new look and that aged/weathered look.

6  Discussion Boards / General Discussion / Re: EASY water color based weathering of an assembled plastic-kit building on: January 12, 2017, 04:27:31 PM
Nicely done! I have used weathering powders for years. Your idea is surely cheaper  Grin and looks just as good if not better.

Thank you!  Smiley

Hi!

I got a question from a viewer how he could make a realistic weathering of an already assembled building from plastic kit. It should be super quick, very easy and NO airbrush or "advanced" artist stuff.. So I made a tutorial... https://youtu.be/h0xQB2J2HKg

Heres the result, only using white and black water color + water + soap. 5 minutes.. Fully removable if not happy..

I really like the animation on the water and at the airport.

Yes. It was a really cool layout with 100s of gallons with real water. They had a water cleaning system and a complex pumpsystem for it too.

10  Discussion Boards / General Discussion / Great fun taking misty morning photos on: June 17, 2016, 09:33:01 AM
Hi!
Ive have taken a number of misty morning photos.. Great fun!
The mist cancels out the unfinished parts of the layout as well as increases the feeling of depth in the photos.

Hi! Smiley

Ive been tying a number of methods to make prototypic windows for scratchbuilt houses. Some ok, some not.
Together with a friend we came up with a quite easy way to make any window. So I made a video tutorial how its done:

15  Discussion Boards / General Discussion / Tutorial - Operations/Sessions explained on: March 25, 2016, 03:57:38 PM
Hi friends!

I made this tutorial on how to run prototypic sessions with carcards and waybills. You should try it, its great fun!!
My version of sessions/operations can be it can run by yourself, or together with one or more friends.
Starting with sessions was really a game-changer for me. Before I almost never run trains, now I enjoy to do it every day. Smiley
