Hello,

thank you all for the information about the C&S decals.

Nevertheless, I wish more Colorado & Southern locomotives and cars from Bachmann.

Hello

Also I have begun with some locos and cars with the Colorado & Southern sign and numbers. Since 2004 I have my own free-form C&S Railway. A long time Bachmann delivered items with this logo. Meanwhile has only the Rocky Mountain Express C&S lettering. Apart from that it is difficult to get exact models from C&S prototypes, it is more difficult to get inexpensive C&S narrow gauge decals for On30.

Bachmann, you can make C&S decals for your old customers, so they can label the non C&S locos and cars???

Or better sell locos and cars lettered with C&S!!!!  If it is possible also according to real C&S exemplars!!!

Hello

Meanwhile I was in Cuba. It is great, but the most of the steam locos are only displayed on streets and places, because the sugar plantations are mostly claused. Only a few locos are steaming. There whole railway traffic is very small. In Habana there is a railway museum in the old “Cristina” station with standard and narrow gauge locos and cars. Cuba is a beautiful country with poor, but nice People, good rum and cigars.

Hello,

There is only one high volume manufacturer for On30 rolling stock in the world: Bachmann.
The Bachmann models have exclusively prototypes from US loco builders.
Also the small-series producers for On30 are predominant in the USA.

Therefore is the USA the biggest market for On30.

Too the O scale market in the USA is compared with the rest of the world the biggest one.

Hello

The relaxation between the United States and Cuba are good news for Narrow Gauge Fans. In Cuba are hundreds of American NG locos in service or displayed. I want go there und visit the railroads.
Search at YouTube for Cuban railway and you will find many examples.

Hello,

a good source to get American rail literature (books, magazines and DVD) in Europe is http://www.spv.co.uk/railroading.shtml in the UK with low S&H costs.

Hello,

that French railway is called “Le P’tit train de la Haute Somme”. It’s a successor from a former WWI military railway in a 600mm NG. They have European steam engines and also some Diesel locos from the USA.

Hello,

The Tom Thumb is a fine prototype in standard gauge, but it's not a narrow gauge loco.

Thing  to  remember  0n30  is  7mm /foot  scale,  EZ track  is  imtended  for  HO  which  is 3.5mm/foot scale,  so  the  sleeper (ties) are  small  and incorrectly  spaced  for 7mm scale.

That's not right.

The American On30 is 1/4 "/ foot scale = 6.35 mm / foot = 1:48. Learn more about it  in the NMRA Standards.
(The British O scale is 7 mm/ foot scale = 1:43,5.)

EZ track is a HO 1:87 scale track, the space between the sleepers is too narrow and the sleepers are too smal. The gauge for On30 and HO is the same 16,5 mm. BUT NOT THE SCALE!!!!
Correct On30 ready built On30 track have  Microengineering  www.microengineering.com and Peco www.peco-uk.com/prodtype.asp?strParents=3309,3316&CAT_ID=3320&numRecordPosition=1.
