It will not run unless connected to the tender. Since there is no horn or whistle, what do the two sets of connecting wires do?  Unless I overlooked this question, it was not answered. This locomotive is DCC ready.  There nothing is connected to the motor unless the tender is connected.  wires from the locomotive go back to a pc board in the tender and from there they go to the motor, headlight, backup light, and ect.

May I ask what you want to do & why?

one easy check if you are not sure if you need 33 or 36.  Before you start check the couplers. Change the wheels, check the couplers.  If they are too high or low, you have the wrong wheel size.

I think it looks good.  I don't like the NYC smoke box door, but that is just me. Two little things that I think would help would be to add a strip to the walkway where the smoke deflectors were, and to the deck where your steps come down, so the sides of the steps would be the same. Just a couple little things to think about.  We all know that B&O didn't have 4-8-4s, but I like the what ifs.  What if the PRR had 4-8-4s instead of the T1s, or if Santa Fe 2-8-4s would of had 69 inch drivers instead of 63.

It should be a easy job to add a backup light in the 2-8-0 tender.

You mean pulling into LA behind a GG1 is not accurate.

Go to live steam.

I would check the wiring on the two tenders.

As far as I know there is no such thing as auto log in, you just don't logout.  When you login, there a box to check that says something like stay login.  Just check that when you login and you will stay logged in.

with that one building, you can see the need to paint building black on the inside.

You really can buy ho fishplates.  I don't know if you glue them to the rails or what.  They are for people have a lot of money and time.

In rail terminology, a fishplate, splice bar or joint bar is a metal bar that is bolted to the ends of two rails to join them together in a track. The name is derived from fish, a wooden bar with a curved profile used to strengthen a ship's mast.

Bill the Rock may not have wanted the the ten light usra mikes.  All railroads were under the control of the USRA and many railroads got USRA locomotives that they did not want.

Well unless you are running at night, just turn the headlight off.  Most U.S. railroad did not start running with headlights on until the mid 50s.

Where you can't reach them.  Since we do not know what your layout looks like it is hard to answer your question.
