The bell on my 4-8-2 Light seems to have gone missing. Parts says they are sold out. Will they be getting more in? Os ther a substitute?

Y'all really shoulda superglued it on. I will when i get another one.

Dear Frank,
Call parts from time to time. Your best bet is getting the bell from an unserviceable unit.
Have fun!

Detail Associates sells bells in various sizes.  You could buy a package, paint one and glue it on.  I did that when one of mine lost its bell.

You can also find steam locomotive shells at shows.  At almost every show that I attend, someone has a steam shell for sale.  Some vendors want quite a bit for some of them, but the older B-mann Standard Line shells often go for five dollars, or so.  It is rare that I am willing to pay more than five dollars for any shell, B-mann or other.  I do some bashing, thus I have found that these old shells are excellent sources for steam parts.
