Mr Bachmann,
If you really want to offer a low hunkered down look car then may I suggest, by removing the raised portion on the bolster on car frames, also remove the extended coupler pockets and replace it at the normal position [ie: where the other hole is currently above the coupling].

On the low profile bogies [Item No. 29904],  replace the clip in rocker pad or stabilizer pads with lower profile type so they protrude about 10 thou above the side frame about equal to the current height of the bolt detail, and also remove the bolt detail on or around the bolster area of the side frames, what this does is gives you a car with a coupling height as per HO standard in the correct position and these cars would market very well in conjunction with the new Forney's.

Hye,

I bought ON30 Reefer #27418 at West Springfield Show Feb 27.
I had the surprise to see the new underFrame.

I would had to all that has been said:

1) The coupler was the "center" shank-medium.
2) The color is black.
3) The coupler box is higher.
4) The two screws are shorter.
5) The total reduction of various items amounts to 0.080".

The overall look is an important improvment.
I prefer the look of lower type cars (narrow gage).

I don't have the time, the desire nor the skill to fiddle, cut or glue
so tiny little parts. So, I beg Backmann to make possible to
purchase these underframes with the shorter screws separetly, so
I can change all my freight car underframes with this improvment.

N.B :  I also have G-scale trains, most from Backmann.

Thanks,
