Mr. B,

Looks like all of us are newbies.  When will this designation change? I just can't believe that people like Nigel, TOC, Hunt, and many, many others are newbies.

Love the new board!!!!

Jim Banner

The Bach-Man himself is listed as a Newbie, with 25 posts.  Maybe it changes at 100 or so?  Maybe never?
Growing older is mandatory but growing up is optional.

Bill Baker

Good point, Jim.  I'll be retired in two months so I'll be staying on the board a good part of the day then....you know, gotta do something with all that spare time. :)

BIG BEAR

I was also wondering how that star system works, I couldn't find anything on that feature or rating.
Barry,

...all the Live long day... If she'd let me.

Hoople

Let's see. I've seen strange devices apparently called diesels...

Let's see them go against a big boy, or a H-8. (Just for you Gene...)

the new board looks good, but I'm still not used to it though.

SteamGene

Yes, what does the star mean?  And the other things as well.  Is this some arcane DeVinci Code? ;)

I get it. Each time one makes 50 posts they gain a star and a new rank.

Hoople

I guess I'm a Jr. Member now.

Ben, It migh vary. Another star every 50 posts?

It might double, so next it will be 100, 200, 400, 800 ect..

Hey, it changed. Now everyone is a member. Nice.

No Star ranking race any more either. I've noticed most new posters,
introduce themselves as "new to model RR" when they make their first couple of posts. Let's try to welcome new folks aboard for their new &  wonderful journey in the hobby.

I like how everyone's a member.

I hate being called a newbie...

Yeah, I have a 1995 Webster and the word newbie is not even in it.
