     Hey Guys
It's the rookie back on the board, I am having trouble with a couple of my turnouts. They will only operate one way when switching. I've tried different leads and different configurations, different switches. Anybody have this issue before?
                                                                  Thanks Dale

Dear Dale,

Do you mean that the points will move in only one direction, then must be moved manually the other direction?

Either

a.) one of the twin coils is "open" (internal wire broken), or

b.) one of the twin coils is not being energized by the accessories output through the power cable, slide-push control, and 3 wire turnout cable.

It would help if you had a Volt-Ohm meter, aka "Multi-meter" to troubleshoot.

What happens if you unplug one end of the 3 wire cable and flip it over and plug it back in?

Test, then try flipping the other end and test again.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik

If your loco is too heavy to lift, you'd better be able to ride in, on or behind it.
