My "Roaring Ridge" it is wonderful going around under the Christmas tree but at every other turn the passenger cars get uncoupled going over the magnets. These cars have no or very little resistance and the pressure on the couplers are minimal. The only cure I found is to install the couplers up side down. The cars stay together but the magnets can not work.  The  freight cars I have all work properly. All Bachmann / Spectrum products. Help, help. Thank you for any other suggestions.

Get yourself a small needle nose pliers, and gently bend the couplers uncoupling bars up so they do not hit the magnets. They probably don't need much.

If your parents never had children, chances are you won't either.

Add some weight to the cars or atleast the last one this will keep the train strung out and pressure on the couplers which will help over the mags, I have also heard of adding a wire that rubs the axle to add a minor amount of rolling resistance which does the same thing
