The new trolly is nice.  But how about some MODERN LRT cars.  WBB has f3 to SD90 diesels;  transit needs the same range!

Hi Dominic,

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think any LRT equipment will be in our plans for the foreseeable future.

What is LRT equipment?

An abbreviation that many don't know is MOW or maintanence of way equipment.

Light Rail Transit.  Includes items from the past like New Orleans, San Fransico and Clevalnd, and newer stuff Like Portland Ore., Sandiego, Denver, and HOUSTON!

Dominic,

The reason I asked what LRT meant is that I thought that you were talking about multiple unit(MU) or RDC's(rail diesel, self propelled, passenger cars).

Interesting to know what some of the newer terms mean.

Some LRT cars CAN MU.  Houston METRO can run 2 unit MU trains.  @ is the limit here because of the length of the blocks downtown.
