Stepney the 'Bluebell' Engine

Most certainly, that will happen all in good time. :)

CaptainPunjab

You're model of Dennis is coming along nicely.

Stepney the 'Bluebell' Engine

Thanks, Captain Punjab. :)

The chassis is currently being worked on, but i am hoping to have it working along with Den by the middle of next month if not sooner.

Maybe you can make dart after you finish den! ;D

Skarloey

Not much of a point though, considering he owns Hornby's model of Dart already. Maybe just a different, more accurate looking chassis.

Stepney the 'Bluebell' Engine

I had thought about it, but like Skarloey has said, i already own a model of Dart from the Hornby range, and i think all that he needs is just a more suitable chassis instead of one with side rods, since he didn't have them in the Day of the Diesels feature film.

When the next toy fair comes up here in Devon, I'll have a rummage around and see what i can find. :)

I hope to have Den and Dennis in working order by mid June if not sooner, so I'll keep you all posted on their progress via this thread, Facebook, My forum and My blog.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, great work on Paxton, now that he's complete. Just wondering, was the face hard to remove from the Trackmaster Paxton? (Given that it is in a hollow area) Keep up the good work, as it always tends to be great.

Stepney the 'Bluebell' Engine

It was fairly easy to remove, it is screwed in place on the trackmaster body, so it was just a case of unscrewing the face from inside the trackmaster mould, and gently using a hacksaw to cut the excess plastic from the back of the face. :)

Wow! Dennis looks great (as do your other projects). Keep up the good work Stepney!
Bachmann never ceases to amaze me :)

GTPS2

Here's a project I did back in 2006. It's my very own Season 1 Truck, and yes, I know it's blue instead of black.

Now don't get me wroung, unlike Stepney, I'm not that much of a modeller with Trains. Just with layouts, so I only do projects in rolling stocks that are easy for me.

The next project I'm doing is my own grey Troublesome Truck with a face from one of the Wooden Giggling Troublesome Trucks.

Does anybody know where I can find the basis of the works unit coach? I am building a custom breakdown train out of the TOMY one, and I feel a works unit coach would be a nice addition.  :)

So far google has returned fruitless, however, looking at one of the Hornby 4-wheeled coaches, I think you could lengthen it's chassis and body to the correct length. The Bachmann Annie and Clarabel are to short (hight-wise) for the Works Coach. Hope this helps!  ;)
