Yesterday I took my son to the "I Love Toy Trains" Store in  New Buffalo Michigan
just above the Indiana border.  It is now under new ownership from someone who
made layouts for the I Love Toy Train People. Wow has he done a great job rehabing
that store. He has a lot more products and he plans to have a few layouts and give classes on constructing
your own layout.

I had a great day.  I had been wondering if Williams had or would make a tender in O-Gauge for the Semi-scale Hudson engine
they produced back in 1950 or 1951. The tender I have has the old trainsound whistle from that era and doesn't work that well. Plus I wanted something other than a lionel Lines. Well I found a Williams new in the box S-2 Tender with a
New York Central name on its side. When I got it home as well as some other Williams rolling stock, I was really
impressed how it was packaged. Both my son and I were Wow'd by how really nice that tender looked!!!! It matches up
really nice with our "Old" Hudson and the new trainsounds are impressive!!!

Just wanted to say Thanks Williams/Bachmann. I have been buying the F-3's, got a GG-1 and am now looking to pick up
a couple NW-2 Switchers and a Berkshire Locomotive !!! I would love to see them produce an Atlantic Steam Locomotive. ::) ::)

Fred,

I know that Williams before Bachmann made a seperate sale tender for the S-2, but not sure that Bachmann continued this item. Your tender might be an older Williams only tender with first generation True Blast 2 horn or whistle.
That dealer may still have had the item new in the box on his shelf. Nothing wrong with it, but may not be brand new by Bachmann.
Remember I mentioned MAY NOT rather then IS NOT, because I don't have full knowledge of what Bachmann did since the buyout of Williams Trains from Jerry W.

Hi M1FredQ,

671 here. If you are looking to purchase "a few NW-2 Switchers" contact Trainlworld or Trainland on line. They have several "On Sale". I just purchased, on Saturday, the New York Central "Cigar Band" NW-2 Switcher. It is  very nice! Good details, handrails etc. It is a smooth runner and a strong puller. The price was excellent...$ 99.99. Check them out. They also have Sharks on sale ( $199.99 ABA), semi scale Madison cars ( I bought the Northern Pacific four car set $99.99...Nice!), EP-5s and an SD 45 Conrail @ $ 99.99.
              Check them out, good deals.

                                        Hope this helps...671

WOW!!!!!

You are right!!!

I just checked on line and the sale is making it so we can pick up 2 of the swichers !!!!

Thank you so much.

Have you had good experience with Trainworld ??

I will let you know what we order. Hopefully we can do it TODAY!!!!

Thanks again!!

We are enjoying the heck out of that S-2 tender. You're right that it is an earlier version of the trainsounds BUT it is a

big improvement over the 1950-51 one we have.

Years ago when I was a kid the Semi-Hudson flew off the tracks and fell on the floor and broke off one of the green-reflector

lights. Someone at the I Love Toy Trains mentioned some outfit or Lionel or Bachmann may have a replacement  front

section. Anyone have information or ideas!!!

Thanks again everyone

The order from Trainworld arrived yesterday!!!

Too busy to open the box up will do it tomorrow and report on the

switchers and the GG-1 we bought!!!!!

Set up the GG-1 this weekend. I can see why people like it !!!

It's got a real presence on the track and is really cool looking in its own right.

I am glad I got it!

My son hooked up all 5 of those die-cast Hopper cars and a Pennsy caboose and it

pulled it without a hitch. WOW WBB!!! Great engine!!!!!!!!!! My son ran it whenever he

had a chance this weekend.

I recommend if you are thinking about it "get it". I agonized over it thinking the Green
5 -Stripe was enough but that Tuscan Red is awesome too.

Next are the 2 NW_2's we picked up will report on it when we run them.
