Over  the  years  I have  fitted  decoders  to  more  engines than I  care to remember,  I have been given  the  job  of fittng a decoder to an 0n30 2-6-0   today,  I did one years  ago  but  I  have totally  forgotton  how  the  chassis  is  removed  from  the  body.

Would appreciate  if  someone  could  enlighten  me!!

Many  Thanks

Hi Harold

Many  thanks  for  your  quick  reply,  within  5 mins of  reading  it  the  body  was  off the  chassis!!

It all coming  back to me  now,  I have  managed  to  keep clear  of  the  2-6-0  for  many  years, but  someone  begged  me  to  fit  a  decoder!!

THe job will have  to  wait  until tomorrow  now  as  its  getting  late  over  here!

Once  again  many  thanks

Steve

The  decoder  fitting  was  completed  succesfully,  it  took  arouund 20 mins. to  do  loco runs  fine.

Interesting to see how little the  loco has   changed internally over  the  years ( the last one I took the  body off was  just  after  their initial  launch  which must  be  around 15yrs ago?)  I think the  only significant  change is  the  working  front  coupler!
