Anybody know where I can purchase a HO scale brakeman's dog house?  I wish to add one to a spectrum 2-8-0. It makes the tender look shorter and you don't have to cut the tender apart and shorten it.

Oldwest man,

Here is a doghouse I got from Blackstone:

They do mostly HOn3, so the doghouse is a bit short.

Here is one from Greenway Products:

They deal in brass accessories.  I think this doghouse is sold out, but they have another style available.

Here is one I scratched up from resin scraps and wire:

Greenway and Blackstone have websites, for ordering on line.

There's three options to consider.

Blackstones site does not list doghouses as a seperate  sale item.  How did you acquire yours?

Looks like the Blackstone one might be out of production at the moment.

A quick look around a certain well-known auction site shows lots of real dog houses -- seriously, with all the stuff that isn't readily available, why are there so many dog house models?!?! -- and one part from Precision Scale (part #32515) of a Norfolk & Western type dog house.

I'm not an expert but is the dog house on picture one not 90 deg, off?
Should the roof not be sloping to the sides?

The door is in the right place.  The roof is probably turned correctly to shed rainwater at speed.

And you get wet stepping out ;D
