I have an older two truck shay.  I just had Bachmann service replace the original trucks with the updated ones.  I want to install a polarity switch into the loco so I can either change directions or disable to power to it (three way switch).  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

John

Hi,  John.

Some LS locos already have a polarity switch in them.  They might have a dead spot in the middle of the polarity switch's throw that would kill the power.

If not, this Radio Shack 275-0664 6 Amp Center-Off switch should work:

If you need wiring instructions, let me know.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

If your loco is too heavy to lift, you'd better be able to ride in, on or behind it.
