Hello, I have five engines on my layout. I use the DCC command controller to run all of these engines witch are all DCC Sound Value, and no DC type engines. I have had two of these controllers now for the past 2 years and about a year later this controller does not turn on, I may have used the controller one day then the next day when I turn on the power for the controller it does not turn on. I would like to know if I can test the controller power cord to see if it is the problem, and if not is there a replacement parts to rebuild the controller, so I do not have buy a new controller again, I do not want to replace this controller about every year or so, that is just to much money......

                               Thanks Greg

I have tested the plug with a volt meter, I also have checked the receiver at the on off switch and found that the power is going threw the power switch but the rest of the mother board does not work.  I would like to know if Bachmann sell just the mother board or do you have to buy the hole unit.

You can use a voltmeter on the power supply's plug to make sure it's functioning within specifications.
