I have an HO Union Pacific #9456. Is it possible to install DCC encoder on this locomotive

Near the front of the loco, if it's "DCC Ready", there should be an 8-pin socket on the PC board. Remove the dummy plug and install the decoder of your choice. If there's already a decoder there, you have the "DCC Equiped" version.
