Someone who has a 4-6-2. ........

Please put it upside down in a cradle .  Photograph the underside of engine frame and copy it here.

Some people have said that the driver contact wipers extend exposed down to the railhead.  I want to see this before I buy one of these beautiful engines that might come with an operational flaw.

Mr.  Bach Man, please note the lack of interest in the 4-6-2.  I heard that the Bachmann Spectrum Russian Decapod was produced as a result of a a popularity survey.  Maybe another run of them?  Re engineered with slightly wider cylinder spacing and a decoder with better presets like the Sound Value 2-8-2?  I'm good for 5. Right now.

I'm not buying a Pacific until I get a good look at the engine pickup system.

Dear Trainman,
There is no lack of interest in the Pacific.
The lack of interest, apparently, is in posting the photo you want.
I don't model in HO, so I can't help you.
Maybe if you're patient someone will.
Let's hope!

I would be glad to send you a photo but I am now traveling and all engines are at home. I bought a used 4-6-2 k4 . the contact wipers on a couple of the wheels is bent but it hasn't caused any problems running. hope this helps

I should have been more clear.  I'm interested in an underneath photo of the USRA Pacific, not the K4.

The pick ups on the new Pacific are pretty much the same as the K4.

Here is the k4 underframe

I can see the power pickup shoes. But are they pointed  up into the engine?  Or down to the rail?  Which I don't want.  Can anyone inform?

Per diagram http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/dwg/dwgs/H844X-IS00.PDF  the K4 power wipers are  installed towards rail.

You have an answer regarding the USRA Pacific model if you accept the pick ups on the new Pacific are pretty much the same as the K4  from Yardmaster as a definitive answer.
