I was surfing the net out of shear boredom and in looking under the
section of the Peco web site called Product news saw that a On30
American style armstrong turntable was to be released in February 2008.

Nothing about price but the deck is 305mm. Just how does that
translate into inches?

Nice looking turntable!

  12inch diamenter or 48 scale feet, big enough to swing a Beyer-Garratt
  G-42 from the Puffing Billy, which did not make it before Xmas from DU.

Not knowing about Beyer's, does this new baby hold a Bachmann 2-8-0?

  the 2-8-0 wheel base is 43ft, table 48ft (Scale) should have no problems
using it for the 2-8-0.

Does anyone have the web address for Peco?  A web search gave me lots of places that sell peco track, but no listing for Peco itself!

Thanks,

Rich

Now we finally get something that is was needed in On30 scale.

As time goes by, I believe many manufactures will be investing in  more goodies for us to use.

These turntables look like they should be reasonably priced as it seems to be a manual version.  Might even buy two just for an additional engine yard for a few of the steamers that are rod engines. I just don't like the idea of mixing geared and rod engines.

Oh what will the future bring ?
