I purchased a B&L 4-4-0 from Trainworld for $279. It is a great looking engine but is is a coal burner. Can the tender be changed to wood?
Can you put a backup light on the tender?
Thanks,

Dear George,
It's your loco, so you can do whatever you want. The service departmrnt might be able to supply the parts you need.
Give them a call Tueday.
Have fun!

I've put a lot of back-up lights on 4-4-0/2-6-0 varints.
The only one that actually had one was the SPC, I think, and it was red.

I make mounts to suit my purposes.
Most of the locals split their own cedar for wood loads.
The E&P is the only one I can think of off the top that had wood loads.

Service will probably only have parts from returned locos, so call and ask.

Decide what lights you want.
I've updated mine with the Pyle National type, found on the older 2-4-2's, I thnk, smaller with angled number boards and visors, and old 4-6-0 domes and stacks, plus (when they were available) CSC oil bunkers.
