I use Lenz Gold or Silver series decoders in my locos. If you want a sound decoder, SoundTraxx makes very good decoders for the Climax and Shay locos. I also use Train Control Systems M-1 decoders for installations where there's less room.

In the 2-6-0 you will need to hard wire/ solder the decoder in as it's not DCC-ready.
