GG - see any pictures of their new Delta trailing truck?  Modern steam users - look!

Model Power's latest N-scale model, an FP7, was a significant improvement over their previous Junque (think Bachmann standard-line quality, the older ones). It wouldn't suprise me if they also intend to upgrade their HO models.

Bummer - Walther's messed up! ;D  The Delta trucks are N scale to upgrade Model Powers USRA light Mike and Pacifics.  I've asked them to consider making an HO version.

model powers locos are junk, athearn atlas and proto 2000 are the way to go

Guilford Guy

But there N scale steam is amazing... I agree Atlas, Proto, and Spectrum are great in HO, but Model Power may be shedding its trainset quality ways in order to compete...

model powers n scale is still trainset quality , their steam locos have alot of problems still. model power has a long long way to come

Guilford Guy

I've run the N scale 2-6-0, and 4-6-0, and while they don't run like a spectrum, or swiss watch, they work fine. The detail is alright, and they run reliably, so they win IMHO.
